Our parents (two brothers who married two sisters) in 1954 decided to enlarge the small hotel, into a larger and more modern hotel with the name K2 for Italian pride (the summit of K2 was conquered by Italians)
We were little girls and that name grew with us, when we grew up, we had the idea of combining Romagna hospitality with oriental furniture.
Those grown-up girls are us, Rita and Patrizia, almost sister cousins, with as much love for this job as our parents.
I, Rita, welcome our guests and stay close to them during their vacation.
Patrizia has her reign in the kitchen and together with our Chef Giuseppe they prepare special dishes.

Also this year I chose to return to my k2 hotel in Igea Marina. It was an alternative vacation, but
no less fun. Rita and Patrizia, as true hosts, made me feel the warmth and affection that can only
be felt in a family and after 49 years of attending their hotel, I can only thank them from
deep of my heart. It was a tough year for everyone, especially for you, and the choice to reopen,
albeit with a thousand difficulties and thoughts, did you honor.
Returning to K2 is how you will feel in a Big Family.
Excellent hotel, facing the sea and also in the central area of Igea. For us it is like a second
home, given that we are back again this year for the 12th consecutive year. Well yes, even the
covid has not stopped us! As always, we found excellent cleanliness both in the common areas
and in the room. In addition, there are numerous disinfectants throughout the structure. The
breakfast is as always abundant and excellent, rich in sweet and salty. For this year, it was not
possible to take full board but despite this, they can be purchased every day
some boxes prepared by the chef Giuseppe at reasonable prices; or you have the opportunity to
have lunch and dinner in partner restaurants suggested by the sweet Rita
